Digimon > Hamtaro > Pokemon
Never watched Shin-Chan.  Knew it was crazy popular, though.  R.I.P. the author.
Soul Eater...in a suit.  Playing piano.  Awesome.

And yeah, fall stuff.

Nyan Koi's been pretty average.
Railgun's been getting more serious and better.  The more Biribiri, the better.
And Darker Than Black 2 is awesome.

Nyan Koi was fun up until the whole magic episode and the twin girls. That really annoyed the crap outta me. When did it go from a slice-of-life series to a magical girl series? Seriously what the hell is up with that? Some could say the curse is somewhat magical but we all know Japan and its deal with curses, so we can't really consider it magic more so than just regular superstition.

Temp sig set from a long time ago, only until I get around to making a new one. Been ages.

Ah Digimon!  I liked it almost as much as Pokemon, growing up, but I could never admit to it, since my elementary school was strictly segregated into the pokemon and digimon crowds.  Admitting you liked both would make both groups turn you away in disgust.

Thus, my time watching Digimon was filled with the shame of betrayal, like an old man watching his porn stash.  >.<  good times, those were.

Well, slice-of-life and magical girl both appeal to the same demographic (young girls and old men,) so it's not unheard of for the two to mix.  I haven't seen the show, sadly.

Thats true Steven. I've seen both mix and mash in many anime, but my issue is the fact that Nyan Koi was not setup for an extended use of the magic plot device. There was no basis for the twins to have "magical" abilities. It just didn't flow with the series which is quite annoying. It made for one ridiculous episode and more than likely going to contribute to a crappy ending next episode.

woha woha hold up. Pokemon and Digimon were on par for season one and part of season two. Although I do feel digimon was a hell lot better in season 2, it did get extremly corny after that.

Pokemon was just the same lame thing over and over again, but it was still good

Yeah but I think even Japan would consider understanding cat speak to be magical...  Anyways, I'm like halfway through that episode you're talking about.

Hey, I liked season three!  Tamers FTW!  Er, I'm currently trying to combat the Pokemon love overwhelming facebook by changing my profile pic to Guilmon...  >_>

Yeah, season three was probably my all time favorite Digimon universe.  I thought it was really inventive.  :o

started going downhill afterward, though.

I enjoyed all the seasons of Digimon. Of course some seasons were better than others for sure but I liked em all. However I was also a Pokemon watcher so I'm on the fence on which is actually better.
