Reporting SPAM
« on: July 04, 2008, 11:00:03 PM »
I just noticed three spam posts on here and removed them. I also banned the member that posted them.

Please, if you see a spam post, use the "Report to Moderator" link in the bottom-right of the post to notify the admins and any local moderators so we can remove the post and deal with the member account.

Also, you can report spam PMs the same way. Those reports go only to administrators.

Thanks.

Please use this feature. It would help me in the long run since I haven't been on much the past 4 weeks, been busy so when I do check the boards I can hit the spam stuff first.  ;)

Temp sig set from a long time ago, only until I get around to making a new one. Been ages.

Better than spam threads...  So we actually get spamming bots around here?

Rarely. Bots don't like to spam SMF. It's too secure. (I require image verification and e-mail validation for new accounts and guests can't post.) I think the few spam topics I deleted are probably human-made or at least a human made the account.
