Go to an anime convention and look at the yaoi booths and tell me there are no female otaku.  Even easier, a large bookstore should have some at the manga section.

theres two types of people the busy ones and the people who have too much free time
so technically its either those girls are too busy with their jobs or they need something to interest them and anime is one of the things to interest them it just my opinion so correct me if im wrong

no youre not, i've seen both types, and one of them is my close friend. she is very busy with her job and she comes to my home almost everyday to read manga or do anything related to them... she even wants me to accompany her to search for manga related items.. but, i must admit, it's kinda fun to have a friend like that (especially becoz i'm like that..)..  ;D
