HOLY SHIT.

I've been anticipating this for two years. agonized over not being able to watch it at the to film festival-- and the fact that my american friends watched it last week. thank god it's finally here.

I've actually watched nothing with heath leger in it before, but I hear he does a great job in this film. Jake Gyllenhaal is hot as hell though. Have you read the story?

Close Range was a great book.  I hated The Shipping News with a passion, though, but everything else that I've read (stuff that appeared in the New Yorker) I liked.

I've never read any of Annie Proulx works other than Brokeback Mountain- and the only reason why I read Brokeback Mountain was because it was free on the computer so I printed it out. (I need to catch up on reading) Her style of writing is really unique though, at first I was thinking it wasn't anything that special-- but it's something you grow to love. Brokeback Mountain made me cry :(

Actually, the movie won a bunch of awards by people you would not know. The movie sucked ass. It only won a grammy for soundtrack and the director. Nothing else.
