ok...so is this with RPG maker, or from scratch? if it's from scratch, then you're an idiot.

It would have to be with RPG maker. If not I doubt it will ever come close to being finished. Before you even think of making one from scratch a person should at least have a few storyboards, a general story, and created a character or two. If it was for RPG maker then he might have a chance and therefore not waste everyone's time.

that's not even a fraction of the work. first of all chaos, from your first post it seems that you barely know how to code. ok, lets say you're trying to make the game using Flash, which is the only reasonable solution i can think of. now you think, when's the last time you saw a full-fledged Flash RPG? that's right, and if you have seen one, it probably sucked.

now, that taken into consideration, why the hell would you need a writer for a half-assed Flash RPG? also, how the hell are you gonna program all of the scripts using your limited programming knowledge? who the hell is gonna take their time to draw up characters, then create the characters for in-game use (and this is assuming it's a 2D RPG) and animate them? and who's going to make the backgrounds and levels? i could go on and on, but the point is, it's not gonna happen.

I know that is just a fraction of the work. I have been working on my rpg for about two years. I spent most of that time coding and fixing glitches and the like. That was after I created everything I needed to start. That took another year. So if anyone is actually wanting to create a good rpg then get ready to spend a very long time on it. Otherwise it isn't worth it.
