On-the-spot poetry + stories
« on: August 08, 2005, 08:54:02 PM »
pleaase.. somebody bring some hilarity into this dingy cry-hole and do a poem about "sunshiiine, lollypops and raiiinbows...etc "

Ahem...

I like to use my sunscreen
So I won't get sunburn
Skin cancer's sorta ugly
I'll end up in an urn

That lollipop has sugar
I don't want cavities
Those suicidal dentists
Would kill me as they please

Big rainbows are so pretty
But first there must be rain
So first I'll catch pheumonia
Then die and leave no stain

TADA!  It's about death and has the happy stuff you wanted!  ^_^

oh my gawd.. never have all my wants, dreams and aspirations been so wholly poemified... i feel inspired to further spread the hilarity;
and so, i present thee, oh yee fortunate readers:

"why it sux to be you.."

it sux to be you
oh boy does it suck
i could count all the reasons
they would fill up a truck.

oh, so much do you suck,
i can barely begin
from the tip of ya toes
to the hair on ya chin

next is that voice -
man, does it suck.
it resembles a cat
getting mauled by a duck

and whats with the clothes?!
they suck worse than cancer
why u tryin to dress
like a britney backup dancer??!

haha.. i'm just kidding
u dont suck, i lied.
i'm sorry. i was wrong. your different..
your "suck" personified.

oh.. i'm sorry for that outburst.. blame Waffo - she made me do it
direct all hate-PMs of discontent her way...

I didn't make you do that!  I just wanted to write a poem that had happy stuff, just like you wanted.  Sorta.

*bows*

Thank you oh so much!  Took me hours to think of that line!

Meh, I split it so not to bother Zackie's thread.  So this is now the thread for random poems and stories anyone wants to make.

Hmm, I was hoping the words "on the spot" would be obvious to everyone that the stuff in here shouldn't be serious.

*ahem*

"the spiky shoes of justice"

the spiky shoes of justice
shall trample on thy jewels
if yee shouldst think of posting
against the forum rules.
if thou hast disobeyed thus
then surely, yee shall find
a spiky shoe-shaped object
piercing ur behind.
so please, have fun within reason
pay heed, each forum rule.
or the shoes shall find and leave thee
in a spreading crimson pool

That was a GREAT example!  I loved it!  But...

BWAAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAhargh...

It sounds like you're dying after the poem...

Green, want me to move your poem out of this thread so it gets a normal serious thread instead of being stuck in this happy little thread?

EDIT: added other stuff

yeh.. .. i was going for the big climactic evil laugh (i.e. bwaha etc.) but i kinda gave up halfway and it ended with this lacklustre sorta grunt thing.. so yeh.. the only thing that really died was my sense of self-worth hehe..

I was strolling through a few old pages of Fan Writing and spied this short little thread.  It's quite old but I'm giving it an elixir of life.  So if you have a humorous and spontaneous poem in your head, feel free to use this thread.  Some conversations are expected but keep them on topic.

My poor Fan Writing section
Has no activity
I want to see some threads here
Yet there's like...two or three

I can't blame it on someone
Nobody but myself
I need to drag some writers
To Yanime and...self?

It's poetic spam, like the Haiku thread!
