You have a point Waya about epi 2 but you have to realize that Anakin and Padme were not experianced in love. Since Padme was a embroiled in politics her entire life she wouldn't really have the time to fall in love and didn't really understand. While Anakin, due to him training to be a Jedi, was forbidden to have such attachments. You should also realize that GL's scripts are pretty cheesy anyways and from a few interviews he actually admits he is more a visual director than that of dialogue. The thing about episode 2 is you have to pay attention to every little detail. If you don't it would seem their acting sucked.

... Their acting did suck, no matter how hard you try to rationalise it.

No matter how much you believe it sucked it comes right back down to a person's opinion on the matter. If you are going to say something was terrible then include a reason instead of just saying it was crap.
