Yeah, well my half birthday was February 5th, but you don't see me crying out for attention, now do ya?  Or maybe you do, you could be crazy and see many things that don't really exist, like the passing of your birthday.  Not that you can even properly see birthdays, but that's more a semantical issue than conceptual.  So, enjoy your extended childhood while it lasts, your angsty teen years will be 4x more angst-filled and the number of people that understand you will be 1/4 of noone.

Damn, I was just thinking about how your birthday was on a leap year today too. But I sort of didn't connect it with the fact that your birthday would have just passed. >_<

Happy Birthday!

And JaisBane... A very merry un-birthday, to you!

I must say that I'm confused as to how this is an insult.  You see, if you had any knowledge of latin and prepositions, then you would understand that "un" refers to the verb acting in a potential state.  IE If I say that this porno that I bought for $6.99 and stars both Jenna Jameson and Kobe Thai is the original, UN-cut version, that would mean that my version has the potential to be cut, which also means that there is a version which is cut.  But, it's only applicable to otherwise irreversible actions, so once this un-cut film is cut, there is no way to reverse the cutting process.  If we apply this to birthdays (which aren't even a verb so this really shouldn't be under discussion ;), which are cyclical in nature, then we find that the state of the birthday is reset at the passing of the birthday.  This means that since today is not my birthday then I am already in the potential state for another birthday.  This does not mean that saying "un-birthday" is redundant; rather, it is meaningless.  This is because there can never be a point in time where I do not have the potential to have a birthday.  This is the case until the moment that I die, after which I simply cease to be and there's no longer a potential or physical state for me to embody.  Now, if we redirect our attention to the verb form of birthday (which would be "to birth") we find that yet again the useage of the prefix "un" is nonsensical.  This is because (keep in mind that we are leaving the world of grammar and entering the plane of semantics and philosophy) there is only a single istance of me.  If we wish to speak purely on physical terms, then there could be multiple instances of me should there be clones, yet this does not make the verb "unbirth" any less nonsensical.  The verb "unbirth" would refer to the potential state prior to birthing, namely pregnancy.  Now, if a clone of me existed in a womb that was a near perfect recreation of the womb I developed in (which would be quite impossible as my mother no longer posses a functional womb) then we might be able to use the term unbirthed to describe my clone, but this is quite vague because we have no way of verifying that the clone has developed in the womb in the same manner that I have.  Outside factors can cause a variety of developmental alterations, and the moment that a major one of those occurs (like a simple trip while walking down the stairs >.>) would be enough cause to invalidate the term "unbirthed".  In anycase, that term/verb could never apply directly to me and since it describes a practically impossible potential state, it is nonsensical.  But, good try, it's not a crime to experiment with language.  At least, not yet... ;D

Well, while you have proven your ability to write longwinded (and quite frankly pointless) essays on the use and or misuse of prefixes. You have failed miserably to deliver anything intelligent. It must have took five to ten minutes to write that, and all you proved is you lack any respect for Alice in Wonderland.

As much as I enjoy Lewis Caroll and his opium induced delusions, I must admit that it has been many a year since I last ventured to his whimsy and I am unfamiliar with any un-birthday's that were undergoing a recurring celebration.    It is rather false to say that my post was "pointless", I was genuinely confused and I explained the source of my confusion.  Also, I would hesitate to call that an essay, as it is lacking a single proper paragraph and was more an exercise in rambling.

As for my post failing to deliver anything intelligent, well it is neither a postal service nor a pregnant mother so I shant expect it to deliver much of anything.  har har har har har.  But seriously, if we look at the Meriam-Webster definition for intelligence (http://www.answers.com/intelligent&r=67) we find that my post does meet the requirements for it to be considered intelligent.  More specifically 1 a : having or indicating a high or satisfactory degree of intelligence and mental capacity b : revealing or reflecting good judgment or sound thought.  And if we move on to the definition of intelligence 1 a (1) : the ability to learn or understand or to deal with new or trying situations : REASON; also : the skilled use of reason (2) : the ability to apply knowledge to manipulate one's environment or to think abstractly as measured by objective criteria (as tests).  So I'm not really sure what you're basing that statement off of =/

And yes, it did take me many minutes to write that, but I don't think the only thing I proved was a lack of respect for "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" (which is the proper title, but I'm sure you knew that ;)  In fact, I don't that I proved that at all, unless you mean that explaining the useage of prefixes to be a personal attack at Mr. Caroll for his witty and skillful manipulation of english to create fanciful worlds where normal laws of grammar, physics, and common sense do not apply.  Or maybe you meant the disney film, in which case, yes, I hold no respect for cartoon adaptations that fail to preserve the integrity of their source.  In any case, anyone can make baseless accusations.  Why, I can even call you a blue-footed boobie, but unless I have photographic evidence of you as a boobie and of you entering your cybernetic suit so that you may pass as a human, unnoticed by humanity and secretly in league with the portugese man-o-war with the goal of world domination!, then I would just be another McArthy-ist, pointing my finger at the "reds" and black-listing the Arthur Millers of the world.
