I see UL is well versed. Sweet. Yeah, there are a lot of factors in stopping power. My hydro-shock hollow-tip would stop a bad guy better than a HV round, because of the shape. But, if he was wearing a vest, the opposite is true.

I think we can get very technical on this topic, but that goes beyond the original point of the thread. Cherry is looking for a "sport" gun. I assumed recreational target shooting with a pistol, but I could easily have assumed wrong. She could want to hunt or skeet shoot, etc. I guess she'd have to decide what she wants to accomplish, and what she's willing to spend.

In any case, I'm glad no bulldogs live around me.

Yeah, gone off topic to the extent of gatling guns and grenade launchers.

Probably start off small. Try shooting with a .22 first (not buy). Thereafter try out larger calibres for recoil and various models for grip and handling etc.
