Post by: Vicman on October 28, 2005, 02:47:34 PM
According to the latest Shonen Jump, Gintama has been licensed by VIZ Media.

VIZ states in the back that they will release a preview of Gintama soon!

Yes, it is licensed and officially dropped.

Consider it mission accomplished as another Yanime title is licensed.

Actually isn't hasn't been licensed yet. Yes, the first chapter will run in Jump's January issue, but it's only to gauge interest in the title.

The fact remains that Viz has the rights to publish it.

If that's not licensed, I don't know what is.

VIZ announced that they will have a section at www.shonenjump.com/gintama/ - If it is a petition to support the U.S. release, I suggest signing it. The website isn't up as of writing (December 1) - However, I do suggest checking to see if it is up.

Yes, I am double posting, but this is important.

Shonen Jump has started the polling related to Gin Tama. Please say "yes" to get them to release the graphic novels.
